El Sewedy Electric of Egypt supplies building materials for the Ras El Hekma city project

The Emirati Holding Group, Modon, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Egypt’s El Sewedy Electric to supply building materials for the construction and development of Ras El Hekma City on Egypt’s northern coast.

This memorandum is part of several agreements signed by Modon, which has been entrusted with the development of Ras El Hekma City. The agreements were signed in the presence of President Abdel Fattah ElSisi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

El Sewedy Electric is one of the Egyptian companies that has secured several contracts for the construction and development of the infrastructure of Ras El Hekma City, including major construction works.

Among the Egyptian companies entrusted with various works in the city is Orascom Construction, which has been appointed as the contractor for the preliminary construction activities of the new city. Additionally, E& Egypt is responsible for designing and implementing the smart city infrastructure, including digital communication networks, fiber optics, and 5G technology.

The Ras El Hekma project includes the establishment of several tourist facilities, a free zone, an investment zone, and a fully integrated residential city that will accommodate around two million people, incorporating residential, commercial, and entertainment activities.

Modon Holding Group has revealed that the Ras El Hekma project will significantly contribute to Egypt’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the coming years, generating approximately $25 billion annually and providing nearly 750,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
